Warning: the paper plate trick I tried on my snack plate kept everything from getting soggy
I used to build a plate with cheese, cucumber slices, and crackers and by the time I sat down on the couch the crackers were soft and the cucumbers were swimming in juice. I tried a bunch of stuff like putting the wet stuff in little bowls, but I never had enough bowls for a quick snack. Then last Friday I put a folded paper towel under the crackers and a coffee filter under the cucumber slices and it fixed it. Nothing got soggy for a solid 40 minutes while I watched a game. The paper towel soaks up the grease from the cheese too, which I did not expect. Does anyone have a trick for keeping grapes and berries from rolling all over the plate?
