Spent $80 on a fancy olive oil and it was worth every penny

Picked up a bottle of Frantoio Franci extra virgin from a local shop in Portland. Tastes like fresh grass and black pepper, totally changed how my veggie dip plates come together. Anyone else find one ingredient that just elevates the whole board?

Different strokes I guess. I've tried some of the pricey oils and they're fine but I grab whatever's on sale at the grocery store and my snacks still hit the spot. Spending that much on oil feels like you're paying for the label more than the taste.

My husband got me a bottle of that same stuff for my birthday last year. I was honestly mad at first because who spends that much on oil. But then I tried it on some fresh tomatoes and basil from my garden and I got it immediately. The grassy kick is so strong it almost tastes like a green smoothie but way better. Now I refuse to use anything else on my caprese salads and I just tell people it's an investment in flavor.
