Just came back from the downtown food co-op and their snack plate game is slipping
I hit up Green City Market on 3rd street last night for their weekly tasting event and noticed half the crackers on their sample plates were stale. The hummus had a dry skin on it like it had been sitting out 3 hours. Has anyone else noticed their quality dropping off since they changed management 2 months ago?

The management change wasn't exactly two months ago, it's been closer to three and a half. They switched over in late June, not August. But either way you're right about the snack plates. I noticed the hummus thing too last Tuesday when I stopped by for a quick lunch. The saltine crackers in the sample cup were definitely chewy instead of crisp. They used to rotate those samples every hour and now it feels like they just let them sit until closing time.

Reminds me of a time I was at a diner upstate and they had changed their chili recipe without telling anyone. The crackers they served on the side were soft as pillows, and the waitress just shrugged and said the new cook was still learning the ropes. I get that management changes happen, but when you mess with the little things like snack plate freshness it throws off the whole visit. That chewy cracker thing you mentioned really gets to me too, its like they think we wont notice. You pay good money for a meal and you expect the basics to be handled right.
