Dropped $60 on a premade cheese board kit at a shop in Sacramento and half of it was filler
Bought one of those shrink wrapped "entertaining boards" at a fancy grocery on J Street for a get together and it was mostly plain crackers, two kinds of cheddar, and a sad handful of grapes hiding in the back. The brie was so cold it cracked when I cut it, and there was maybe four slices of salami under a pile of rosemary sprigs used as packing. For $60 you could build two better plates from the deli counter and a bag of nuts. Just buy the parts yourself and skip the box, anyone got a go to cheap cheese that holds up on a plate?
