After 3 tries I finally built a snack plate that didn't slide off the board when I carried it to the couch

Last Saturday I stacked some cheese and grapes a little too high on a cheap bamboo board, took two steps, and watched everything tumble onto the rug, so I switched to a rimmed ceramic platter and tucked the crackers in tight, has anyone else dealt with avalanche-style snack plate disasters?

Rimmed platters are a total game changer for snack transport... learned that lesson the hard way myself. That feeling of watching your carefully arranged cheese and crackers hit the floor is just the worst. Glad you found a setup that works, that little lip makes all the difference.

Yeah, it's like the universe testing if you really deserve that snack.
