TIL screening dirt in a bucket beat my sieve box that cost $60

I used to dump every bucket straight through a wire sieve box I bought at a relic show in Tucson, then spend an hour picking tiny flakes out of the gravel. Last season I switched to a cheap plastic bucket with hardware cloth, shaking it in small handfuls, and the small finds stopped getting buried. Does anyone else here screen in smaller batches, or am I just slow at this?
