Just realized I had been mislabeling my field notes for 2 years after a dig in Abilene
Two summers ago I was at a survey site near Abilene and my trowel hit a burned rock midden, and I was so excited I wrote the depth as 30 cm when it was really 50. The site lead caught it during cataloging and gave me a tip about using a plumb line at every bag, which I now do without thinking. Does anyone else have a small habit that came out of a label mix-up like that?
