I finally listened to the park ranger at Mesa Verde about not touching the rock art
She flagged us at the trailhead and warned that oils from bare hands break down the pigment, and sure enough a guy ahead of us leaned on a panel and left a dark smudge that won't come off. Rangers log that damage too, so how do you all handle friends who think a quick touch is harmless?
