Silky saws - I was a hater, now a believer
Used to think spending $80 on a pruning saw was stupid. Picked up a Silky Zubat after my old Fiskars bound up on a 4-inch limb. Cut through like butter, no binding at all. Anyone else make the switch and never look back?

Is it really that big of a difference though? I mean, my old $30 Corona saw has been cutting through limbs just fine for years without any binding issues. Maybe it's just me but I don't see the need to spend that kind of money unless you're doing it every single day.

Three years ago I picked up a Silky Zubat for about $80 on a whim and it honestly changed how I look at pruning. @king.lisa, have you ever tried a pull stroke saw side by side with a push cut one? The difference in control and speed is pretty wild once you get used to it. Your Corona might be fine for the occasional branch, but if you ever have to take down a limb that's 4 inches thick or more, the binding thing does become a real problem. Just something to think about before you rule out the pricier stuff entirely.
