Rant: the mulched ring around the oaks at Cantigny made me rethink my whole planting bed
Walked the grounds in Wheaton last Saturday and saw they keep the mulch pulled back at least 6 inches from every trunk, which goes against what most guys around here do, so I am curious whether anyone else has moved away from volcano mulching and what it did for their trees.
