Pro tip: I stopped climbing with a handsaw in my belt and my shoulders thank me
Used to deadwood a whole silver maple from the canopy with a 14 inch Corona hooked on my harness. Felt handy until a limb walk at a client's place in Boise left a 3 inch gash in my forearm pad. That was 8 months ago and I still have the scar. Switched to a Silky Zubat on a lanyard plus a folding saw on my leg. Now I make one climb, take the polesaw to the low stuff from the ground first, and save the chainsaw for anything over 4 inches. Cut my time on a 60 foot ash by almost 40 minutes. Anyone else carry two saws or is that just me overthinking it?
