I finally stopped zig zagging trunks after a crane op set me straight

Had this old crane operator in Richmond tell me last fall I was wasting time trying to make every trunk perfectly straight on removals. I argued with him for 5 minutes about climb line placement and hinge cuts. Then he showed me a 30 year old oak photo where the natural curve was the whole reason the fell went clean. Now I read the lean before I even sharpen a chain. Has anyone else got advice from a rigging guy that totally flipped your ground game?

Tommy in Kentucky showed me the same trick on a leaning maple back in 2019, now I never force a straight fell.
