Wish I caught that washing machine bearing noise faster

Last month I had a job where a bearing was already getting bad and within three weeks the drum seized up completely, which turned a $60 fix into a $450 new machine for the customer has anyone else had bearings go that quick once they start making noise?

omg THREE WEEKS?? that is insane. i can't believe it went from a little noise to completely locking up that fast, like what even happened in there

oh man that reminds me of my old car, had this weird whining sound for a week then one day i turned a corner and the steering wheel just stopped turning. took it to the shop and they said the power steering pump basically turned into confetti inside. never even knew that could happen, thought it was just gonna be a loose belt or something simple.
