Watching a guy at the laundromat fix a coin slot with a zip tie
He didn't have his tools, just used the tie to clear a jammed quarter. Now I keep a few in my truck for quick fixes on coin-op stuff. Anyone else got a simple trick for those machines?

... honestly I'm on the other side of this. Those zip ties can scratch up the coin slot real bad if you're not careful, and I've seen people bend the metal trying to wedge them in there. Plus if the tie breaks off inside, you're just making the jam worse for the next guy. I'd rather just ask the attendant or use a different machine than risk messing it up for everyone else.
