That Tuesday in November when 9 out of 11 calls were easy fixes, and I didn't know what to do with myself
I still think about this one Tuesday back in November, maybe two years ago, when the phone just would not stop and every single job turned out easy. First call was a dryer in Beaverton that wouldn't heat, and the vent was packed solid with lint so I cleared it and it ran fine. Second was a fridge not cooling, and the guy had stuffed a pizza box against the back wall and blocked the air. I fixed 9 of 11 calls before lunch, and 7 of them were under 20 bucks in parts. I remember sitting in the van eating a gas station sandwich thinking this never happens twice. Back when I started in this trade, every job was a fight, and now half of them are just customers not reading the manual. Has anyone else had a week like that where you feel like you should've bought a lottery ticket? I'm half joking, but I do keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.
