PSA: Check your ice maker water line fittings before peak summer hits
Had a $1,200 water damage claim in Phoenix last July because a plastic ferrule cracked on a 5-year-old fridge, and now I replace every nylon compression nut with brass before the temps hit 100 degrees.

Friend of mine found his kitchen floor buckled after a similar leak, @michaela16, brass fittings are the way to go.
