Pro tip: skip the $45 "universal" dryer belt kit from the hardware store

I picked one up at the Ace over on Western Ave last month to save a trip, and the belt stretched out after about 3 weeks on a Whirlpool Duet. The kit claims it fits 40 models, but the tension was way off and I ended up pulling the drum twice. I finally ordered the exact OEM belt for $19 and it fit right the first time. Has anyone found a universal belt that actually holds up, or am I better off just stocking a few common sizes?
