My dishwasher drain fix that avoids pulling the whole unit out
I kept getting calls for dishwashers not draining and hated disconnecting them every time. A quick blast with a wet dry vac on the drain hose often clears the clog right up. What's your fast check for drainage issues?

Yeah, that wet dry vac trick can work sometimes. But I've found it often just shoves the gunk deeper or gives a temporary fix. Like if it's grease or ground up food bits stuck in the drain hose or pump, the suction might pull it loose but it can still catch again later. I always check the filter and the drain hose loop first because that's where stuff collects. Pulling the unit is a pain, but sometimes you just gotta do it to really see what's going on in there.

Sounds like we all hope the wet dry vac will make the problem magically vanish. Then we end up pulling the whole thing apart anyway, covered in gross water.
