Last Friday I had three dead fridges in one day and only one of them was actually dead
The other two were a bad outlet in a garage in Dayton and a fridge pushed so far back the coils were choked with dog hair, both easy fixes I almost missed because I trusted the customer's description. What's your go-to first check before you even pull out the meter on a no-cool call?

Three dead fridges and only one was actually dead, that tracks. But the Dayton outlet thing, was it really a bad outlet or just a tripped GFCI? I've been burned by that one more times than I want to admit. Anyway, first thing I do is put my hand on the side of the fridge, if it's warm the compressor's running and I'm looking at airflow or coils, if it's cold I'm chasing power.
