Just realized my old trick for testing dryer thermostats was costing me time

At a job in a Charlotte laundromat, I saw another tech use a multimeter on a live circuit instead of pulling the whole assembly. Has anyone else switched to this method for Maytag commercial dryers?

My Milwaukee multimeter saved me 15 minutes per dryer last week.

Oh man, @phoenixgonzalez, that's the kind of math I like! Saving 15 minutes per unit adds up crazy fast. You could diagnose three dryers in the time it used to take for two. That's basically a free lunch break you earned right there. Good tools are worth every penny when they give you your time back.

Yeah totally. I used to be the guy who bought cheap meters and figured good enough was fine. But seeing how fast that 15 minutes adds up... @phoenixgonzalez is right. I finally switched last year and it made me mad at myself for waiting so long. Time is money in this line of work, plain and simple.
