The dub that made me switch back after 200 episodes

I started One Piece subbed back in 2019, got like 200 episodes deep and was fine with it. Then I caught a few clips of the dub and figured I'd give it a shot on a rewatch with my buddy who refuses to read subtitles. I mean, I expected it to be okay but not better. Turns out some of those early jokes land way harder in English and I actually laughed at stuff that went right past me before. Now I'm almost caught up and I honestly flip between both depending on the arc. Has anyone else found that switching to a dub changed how they felt about a show they already liked?
