I keep seeing people mix up the original 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' ending with 'End of Evangelion' and it drives me nuts

Yeah and it gets even worse with the rebuild movies now. The whole timeline thing is a mess for new fans. I had to draw my friend a chart just to explain the watch order, and he still got lost. Honestly, the studio made it way too hard to follow on purpose.

My buddy tried to get into Eva last year and texted me all confused about Shinji strangling Asuka. Had to explain he watched the movie ending first. The whole "congratulations" scene from the show broke his brain even more. He still gets the order mixed up when we talk about it.
