They played the dub over the sub by mistake, and the manager just shrugged and said 'it's the same story'. I walked out and got a refund. Anyone else had a screening ruined by a lazy organizer?

Honestly, I would have stayed and rolled with it. Sometimes a weird mix-up like that makes the experience more memorable, like a funny story to tell later. Getting a refund over a soundtrack choice feels like missing the point of why we rewatch these films together. The vibe and sharing it with other fans matters more than a perfect presentation to me.

What, you expected them to get it right? I once went to a screening where they played the whole first act on mute. At least you got a story out of it, unlike @kevin_hernandez83 who would probably enjoy the silent version for the 'vibe'. I'd ask for a refund too, that's just pure laziness. My take is if you pay for a specific thing, you should get that thing, not some messed up version of it.
