Got roasted at the anime club meetup for calling Frieza 'cool'

I was at the Otaku Haven meetup in Portland last Saturday and someone overheard me say Frieza's final form was 'cool' - they laughed for like 5 minutes straight. Now I'm scared to share my hot takes on villains in front of the group, has anyone else gotten flamed over a harmless opinion?

Most people get stuck on the "bad guy = ugly" thing, but Frieza works because he's polished and terrifying at the same time. Your anime club probably hasn't thought about why villains look the way they do, they just follow the crowd.
