Dub vs sub clicked for me after rewatching FMA Brotherhood twice

I watched FMA Brotherhood dubbed in 2016, subbed in 2021, and just now noticed the dub cuts specific sound effects like footsteps and background ambience, so has anyone else caught a loss like that when switching versions?

Whoa, that's wild! I never would've guessed a dub would strip out stuff like footsteps and background noise. Now I gotta go back and listen closer to my own dub rewatches.
