Appreciation post: that one Friday where every show I follow dropped a banger in the same night
Three seasons back, a Friday in October lined up perfectly. Four shows I was watching all dropped new episodes on the same night, and not one of them was a filler week. The slow burn romance finally had the confession scene, the sports show had the big game, and the two action ones both had huge fights. I sat on my couch from 8pm to almost 1am with a bowl of popcorn and just went from one to the next. What made it stand out was that I had been kind of bored with two of those shows for a month before this. I kept almost dropping them, and then boom, it was like the writers had been saving it all up. Comparing that night to a normal week where maybe one show is good and the rest are recaps or break weeks really shows how random the anime schedule can be. Has anyone else had a night where the release timing just stacked up on you like that?
