Am I the only one who switched from subbed to dubbed halfway through a show and liked it more?
I was three episodes into a mecha show from 2018 and kept pausing to read, so I flipped to the dub for the rest. Turns out I caught way more of the background art and the little facial reactions, stuff I just missed while my eyes were glued to the bottom of the screen. I still think subs are great for the acting and the jokes that get localised weird, but for this one I actually enjoyed the story more dubbed. Anyone else flip halfway and feel weird about preferring it?

Stopped three episodes in to switch languages? That's wild to me, but catching the background art makes total sense. Did the dub voices throw you off at all or did they click right away?
