A guy at the Phoenix con in 2021 told me to skip filler arcs on my first watch, and he was dead wrong
Three years back at a con in Phoenix, some dude in a Goku shirt told me to skip every filler arc in Naruto or I'd quit the show by episode 80. I trusted him and blew past 90 episodes of filler, then hit a canon arc and had zero clue who half the side characters were or why anyone cared about them. Turns out those dumb little missions are where the team actually bonds, and I ended up rewatching the whole stretch on my second run just to catch up. He saved me maybe 20 hours and cost me a way better first watch, which is a trade I would not make again. So what filler arcs did you actually enjoy, and which ones did you bail on?
