My first color darkroom print came out green, not the colors I saw
I loaded some expired Fuji paper from a garage sale and spent 2 hours trying to match the filters on my enlarger. The final print had this weird green cast on everyone's faces. Is there a trick to getting skin tones right with old paper, or should I just stick to black and white?

Garage sale paper, seriously? That stuff could be 20 years old and stored in someones hot attic. Green casts on expired Fuji are practically a guarantee, the color layers age at different speeds and the magenta dye goes first.
You can try overexposing by a stop or two and then really pushing the yellow and magenta filtration to compensate, but honestly you are fighting chemistry that already gave up. Most people I know who tried expired color paper just used it for experimental solarization prints or turned it into a contact sheet paper. Black and white is the sane path until you find fresh stock.
