Almost ruined a whole roll because I loaded film in direct sunlight
Last month I was at the boardwalk in Santa Cruz, trying to load a fresh roll of Tri-X into my old Canon AE-1. I thought I could just do it quickly under the sun since I was in a hurry to catch the sunset shots. Halfway through the roll I noticed the first 5 frames were totally washed out with a weird haze across them. I had to toss that part of the roll and learned my lesson: always find shade or use your jacket to block the light when loading film. Anyone else get burned by this before?

That "foggy morning" look on your Portra shots, was it just the first few frames or the whole roll?

Did that with a roll of Portra at the beach and my shadow shots came out looking like a foggy morning.
