A lab tech ripped apart my pushed Tri-X and now I can't decide if he was right
Shot my buddy's garage band on Tri-X at 1600 and pushed it two stops, and the lab tech in Denver asked why I bothered underexposing when I could just shoot HP5 at 1600 straight. Half of me thinks pushing is a crutch and I should just pick a faster film, but I love how the grain blows out the highlights on stage lights. Anyone here actually switched films instead of pushing, or am I stubborn for sticking with it?
