That monsoon week in July almost flooded my whole living room - here's what I missed on my gutters

I figured a quick hose check was enough, but 3 inches of rain in two days backed up a clogged downspout I never saw, and water started seeping through the foundation wall. Anyone else get surprised by a gutter issue during those big storms?

Damn, that's wild. 3 inches in two days is no joke, I would have freaked out if I saw water seeping through my foundation like that. Buddy of mine had the same thing happen last summer. He did the hose test, thought everything was fine, then a random storm flooded his crawlspace so bad he had to rent a pump at 2am. Took him three weekends to dry it all out and patch the cracks he missed.
