Talked to my neighbor about his xeriscape and it clicked

He's been doing it for years and just said 'you're not fighting the dirt, you're working with it.' I mean, I've been dumping water on my patchy lawn off Montgomery for months. Anyone have a good local spot for native plants?

Right, "fighting the dirt" is the perfect name for it. It's not cleaning, it's a full-on battle where the dust bunnies are winning. I always end up just moving the pile from one spot to another and calling it a day. Feels less like housework and more like a pointless war I signed up for.

Moving the pile from one spot to another is my main strategy too. It reminds me of when abbyr96 and I tried to clean out a closet and just made a bigger mess in the hallway.
