Rant: guy at the Rio Rancho hardware counter said swamp cooler pads last 2 seasons here, not 5
Was picking up a hose clamp at the True Value on Southern and the older guy behind the counter mentioned most folks around here swap cooler pads every other spring because of our dust. I had been running the same set for 4 summers and wondering why the house never got cold. Pulled mine and they were crusted solid with caliche grit. How often are you all changing yours, and do the aspen pads really beat the blue ones out here?
