PSA: The "upgrade" sign at the home store on Eubank is pushing $80 LED fixtures that feel cheaper than the $12 bulbs they replace
I was at the big home store on Eubank near Central last Saturday and noticed their lighting aisle now flags almost every fixture as an upgrade pick, even basic flush mounts with plastic housings. I pulled three of them off the shelf and two had wobbly diffusers and wires so thin you could bend them with two fingers, yet they want $70 to $90 each. Is anyone actually happy with these, or should I keep running $12 LED bulbs in my old cans until they quit?

Seems like a bit much to get worked up over store shelf labels. If the fixtures feel flimsy, just don't buy them and keep your old cans running. Nobody's forcing the upgrade on you.
