My backyard xeriscape project turned into a 6-month saga with the city permit office
Tried to replace my lawn with native plants, but getting the water use variance approved took forever. The inspector made me redo the drainage plan three times before signing off. Anyone else hit major delays with ABQ permits for simple yard stuff?

Three times for a drainage plan" sounds about right for city hall.

Wasn't there a story a while back about a guy who had to submit his deck plans like five times? It was over some tiny rule about railing height. That stuff seems to happen a lot.
