I know everyone says to get a swamp cooler for our dry heat, but my new heat pump is way better.
I mean, I ran both for a full summer in my Northeast Heights house and the heat pump kept things way more even and didn't spike my PNM bill like the swamp cooler did. Has anyone else made the switch and noticed the same thing?

Didn't spike my PNM bill" is the part that gets me. My swamp cooler sends my summer bill into orbit. You're saying a heat pump was actually cheaper to run? That changes everything.

My swamp cooler turned my house into a sticky, damp cave. The heat pump just quietly does its job without the humidity. My electric bill last August was actually lower than the year before with the swamp cooler. Guess I was the last one to get the memo on this.
