Bit the bullet on stucco repair, and of course it rained the day after
So my place up in the Northeast Heights has that old stucco on the west wall and it started cracking bad after this summer. I got two bids, one was $1,450 to patch and repaint just that wall, the other guy said $3,800 to redo the whole side. I went with the cheaper patch job because redoing the whole side felt like overkill for a house I plan to sell in a few years. The crew came out Tuesday, did the work, looked fine. Then Wednesday night we got that surprise storm and now there's a hairline crack running right where they patched it. I called the guy and he says it's 'normal settling' and to give it 30 days. Has anyone here dealt with stucco guys who actually stand behind their work, or am I just eating the $1,450?
