Why does everyone skip the radon test?
Checked 3 listings last month in Okotoks and the seller disclosures all said 'test not done'. My uncle found radon at 400 Bq per cubic meter in his basement last summer. Do most buyers just not care about this or are they getting talked out of it during the offer?

People treat invisible risks like they don't exist until it's too late. Same reason folks skip the mold test or don't check the furnace age until January. We all want the house to work out so bad that we talk ourselves out of the extra $200 and the two week wait. Then uncle Bob shows up with a radon monitor and suddenly it's a whole negotiation. It's like flossing, everyone knows they should do it but almost no one does until their gums bleed.
