The average Alberta house is 22 years old, and that number kind of shocked me
I was poking around a housing report from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp and it said the typical home in this province was built around 2003, which explains all the 20 year old furnaces and roofs I keep seeing. Anyone else house hunting in Calgary or Red Deer running into that same wall of big ticket repairs on places from that era?
