Basement flooded at 2am in Red Deer and my sump pump was sitting in the corner unplugged
I woke up to a weird humming noise around 2am at our place in Red Deer and walked downstairs to find about an inch of water creeping toward the furnace, all because the sump pump was still sitting unplugged in the corner from when we moved in three months ago. I grabbed every towel in the house and got the shop vac going while my wife called a plumber, and we ended up pulling up a chunk of the carpet pad to dry it out. Has anyone else moved into a place where the previous owner left something this important just sitting there unused?
