Walked into a new condo build in Austin and saw the alarm panel mounted behind a door that swings open into it

Who designed that layout, a blind guy with a tape measure, and how do we fix it without moving the entire door frame?

Wait, did anyone catch if that panel is actually recessed into the wall or surface mounted? Because if it's just screwed onto the drywall like I suspect, you've got a sneaky option nobody mentioned yet. @the_julia's wireless keypad idea is solid but you could also put a slim piece of trim or a door stop on the floor, then swap the hinge side of the door if the frame allows. That way the door swings away from the panel instead of into it.

505 Barton Springs right? I saw that exact same setup last month and had to do a double take. My first thought was "oh great, so whoever lives here has to keep the door open just to set the alarm." I honestly think the drywallers just hung the panel wherever was easiest and nobody bothered to check if a door would hit it. A cheap fix is to swap it for a wireless keypad and stick it on the wall next to the door instead. At least then you can actually get to it without playing contortionist every morning.
