Small crew, big day, zero callbacks in Wichita

We had a three-person team rewire a 40-unit apartment complex in Wichita last Tuesday, and everything just clicked from the first panel to the last door sensor. I was sure some zone would test bad or a keypad would blink out, but we finished by 6 PM and the owner called to say it was the smoothest install he'd seen in 15 years. Has anyone else had a job where the plan held up perfectly, or do you always expect at least one surprise?

Well, I just read a trade magazine piece saying that most perfect installs come down to pre-walk planning and nothing else. It makes you wonder if the surprise is really the job or just the lack of prep time we all usually get. Glad yours went smooth, but I'd still keep a spare keypad in the truck for the next one.

Pre-walk planning matters a ton, but the surprise factor is still real since a clean blueprint can't predict every hidden wall stud or old wiring quirk. Maybe the magazine just got lucky with straightforward jobs.
