Rant: Why I finally ditched cellular dialers for IP after a false alarm disaster
That customer in Tampa called me out after their third false alarm in a week, said 'your fancy cell unit is the problem, use the Ethernet like my nephew's IT guy told you', and I laughed until the cellular module dropped signal during a thunderstorm and the alarm never reported to central, so yeah he had a point, anyone else had a stubborn system fail on wireless when a hard line just works?

Ha! Nothing like a customer being right to make you eat crow. Guess Mother Nature is the ultimate test for cellular vs copper, and the old school line won that round.
