Hit 50 false alarm callbacks in a single quarter and it's a real problem
That number is way too high and it's mostly from one new housing development where the sensors are getting triggered by settling foundations. We're talking a 40% callback rate just for that site. How do you guys handle these mass installs where the buildings are still moving?

Settling foundations are the worst. My buddy's company got burned bad on a new build and had to eat the cost of swapping out a whole batch of sensors after the first winter.

You know, I used to think foundation settling was mostly an overblown concern that contractors used to upsell extra work. But hearing stories like this really changed my mind. It's one thing to read about it in a manual, but another to hear about a company having to swap out an entire batch of sensors after the first freeze-thaw cycle. That kind of hidden damage is exactly what keeps me up at night on my own projects now. I guess I just assumed modern materials and techniques had mostly solved for that. This is a good reminder that some old-school building problems are still very real, even with all the fancy new tech.
