Heard a customer say 'it's just a box on the wall' the other day
I was finishing up a panel swap in a house and the homeowner was watching me. He said to his wife, 'I don't get what the big deal is, it's just a box on the wall.' It really stuck with me... I remember back when I started, maybe 15 years ago, people saw the whole system. They saw the wires in the walls, the contacts on the windows, the work that went into it. Now, with everything being wireless and hidden, I guess the value feels invisible to some folks. The box is just the face of a whole network you built. It made me miss the days of pulling a full house run of 22/4 and having to explain each zone. How do you guys handle that shift in how customers see the job now?
