Had a customer in Denver who asked me to hide the keypad behind a painting...
He said 'if they can't find it, they can't smash it,' which honestly made me rethink a lot of my default placements. How do you guys handle clients with unusual requests like that?

Consider the logic behind his request though. It sounds paranoid until you realize most break-ins are just quick smashes. Do you ever push back on these ideas or just roll with them?

Read a study showing most burglars give up after a minute or two.

Wait up though @price.tyler - are you really saying you'd just roll with hiding a keypad behind a painting without checking if they have kids or pets first? I get the logic about smash-and-grabs being quick, but if some kid pulls that painting down looking for a toy or a cat knocks it off the wall, you're looking at a lockout situation or worse, a broken keypad. What's your rule of thumb for when a client's "creative" idea crosses into just being a bad idea for everyone involved?
