Changed my mind about those cheap wireless sensors...
Had a job in Tempe last Tuesday where a whole batch of door contacts just stopped reporting. They were from a budget brand I used to swear by. Turns out the batteries they shipped with were junk and died in about 6 months. I spent half a day going back to replace every single one. Anyone have a reliable brand for basic wireless contacts that won't do this?
Blame the batteries, not the sensors. That brand is solid for the price and you just got a bad batch of included cells. I've used them for years without that issue. Swapping batteries is normal maintenance for any wireless gear. Spending half a day on it once is still cheaper than buying the premium brands from the start.
