Cell modem vs. POTS line, picked cellular after 4 service calls

I swapped two commercial accounts over to the cellular communicator after the copper line kept dropping signals every time it rained, but the very next week the LTE module died during a firmware update and the customer's monitoring center got nothing until the sales rep who swore by it showed up to explain the backup battery was never wired in.
