Trying a digital torque wrench after 15 years of using beam style

I spent most of my career using those old beam torque wrenches (you know, the ones with the needle) and honestly thought digital ones were just a gimmick. Then last month I had to torque some main landing gear bolts on a 737 and the beam wrench just felt off, so I borrowed a Snap-on digital from the next hangar bay. Has anyone else made the switch and actually seen a difference in accuracy, or am I overthinking this?

Wait you torqued mains on a 737 with a beam wrench?

Read an old school chief swear by beam wrenches for critical torque jobs.
